Optism recently participated in the Macau Inclusion Conference, a two-day event held at Macau Anglican College and MGM MACAU, highlighting the theme "it takes a community" to support children with autism. The event focused on promoting inclusion across the Greater Bay Area and featured personal stories and initiatives aimed at driving positive change in the ASD community.
Our founder, Carmen Li presented her talk, "Empowering Parents with Information on the Autism Journey," sharing insights on how small, steady progress can transform lives.
Notable sessions such as "Seeing Autism from a Different Perspective" and "Successful Transition into Adulthood" offered valuable insights, while workshops engaged participants with activities like basketball, football, and collaborative art.
Community advocates joined, including Dr. Commander Kartikay Saini, founder of Scottish High International School in India for inclusion, and Tony Bennett, PhD, President of the European Disabled Golf Association, who champions athletes with disabilities.
The conference highlighted the collective effort needed to build a more inclusive world, and Optism is proud to continue empowering families across the Greater Bay Area and beyond.
