Hong Kong's Bridge Academy has teamed up with Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council and Heep Hong Society to launch the "AI for OPRS" program. Backed by Lee Hysan Foundation and YCWH Trust, this four-year pilot will bring the "Bridge AI" system to 19 local kindergartens, benefiting 600 students with special educational needs (SEN).

The program deploys a team of 45 professionals, including therapists and special education teachers, to deliver personalized, on-site therapy services. The AI-powered Bridge AI system allows them to develop customized training plans tailored to each child's needs, enhancing the quality and efficiency of care.

"Our goal is to leverage AI technology to improve therapy services for Hong Kong's SEN community," says Bridge Academy founder Victor Wong.

Researchers will also study the initiative's impact, exploring areas like user acceptance and therapeutic outcomes. As Hong Kong continues to innovate, the "AI for OPRS" program aims to demonstrate how technology can empower SEN students to reach their full potential.
