On February 15th, CLP Power Hong Kong Limited announced the launch of a Home Electrical Safety Programme in collaboration with the Home Affairs Department, District Offices, and Care Teams.
With an allocation of HK$9.5 million from the Community Energy Saving Fund, the initiative aims to enhance electrical safety for 2,000 households, including elderly individuals, ethnic minority households, low-income families, and people with disabilities.
Qualified electricians will conduct inspections and repairs of fixed electrical installations, emphasizing the importance of partnerships in promoting care, awareness, low-carbon living, and harmonious communities. The programme builds upon the success of last year's Home Electrical Safety for Elderly People Programme.
